Remove the back cover of the key fob by using your fingernail. Under the cover, on a diagonal near the edge of body, you’ll find an unidentified button. Slide it to the right. The cover will then fall open and slide off, revealing the manual key blade within! If you still can’t locate the button, search the newly exposed manual key access to determine whether there’s a hidden slot or lever.
Close the Windows
One of the lesser-known features on Volvo key fobs is that they allow you to roll down all of the windows instantly using the fobs. This is helpful when you are trying to squeeze into parking spaces that are tight or just want to breathe fresh air while driving.
To unlock your Volvo you need to press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote for four seconds. This will lower all the windows, as well as the sunroof if your vehicle comes with one. When you’re done with your vehicle, you can close all windows by pressing the lock button again for four seconds.

Turning off the Alarm

Find a clean work surface and lay out your key fob, battery, and other keys. Locate the small black button at the bottom left corner on the key fob. move it to the right. The cover should fall off and expose the key blade’s mechanical mechanism underneath.
